Dear SUNC members,
This is to advise you of the upcoming Annual General Meeting of the members of the South Upwey Netball Club.
Saturday August 29th, 2026
6:30pm (During Presentation Night)
Mulgrave Country Club, 469 Wellington Rd, Wheelers Hill VIC 3150
At the meeting, members* will have the opportunity to:
find out about and ask questions about SUNCs operations and finances
speak about any items raised
At the meeting, members* over the age of 18 will have the opportunity to:
vote to elect committee members should there be more than one nomination for a role received. This will be conducted via an anonymous vote.
*Member is defined by:
a. Members of South Upwey Netball Club shall be playing members, non-playing members, committee members and life members, and other categories of membership as the South Upwey Netball Club committee shall from time to time determine.
b. A Playing Member shall mean and include all persons registered as players, competing in any and all competitions representing South Upwey Netball Club Incorporated, who has paid their annual fees payable under these Rules.
c. A Non Playing Member shall mean and include all persons registered as umpires, coaches, Committee members and/or any other non playing individual, who has paid their annual fees payable under these Rules and who is representing South Upwey Netball Club in any and all competitions
d. A Life Member shall mean and include members elected as Life Members by South Upwey Netball Club as hereinafter provided.
e. Other Members shall mean and include all parents and/or guardians designated on the registration form of a Playing Member and/or a Non-playing Member aged 17 years or under.
i. Such other category or categories of Members as determined by the Committee from time to time.
ii. An individual may hold membership under more than one of the above categories simultaneously.
We are looking at continuing our committee's strong work, and are keen to bring together diverse perspectives to make informed and strategic decisions for SUNC for the 2026-2027 seasons and into the future. Nominations are self-nominated. All nominations must be received by August 22nd (prior to Presentation Night)- no nominations will be taken on the night- we invite nominations via the Nomination Form for 2026-2027 Committee.
Registrations are required to be completed on Netball Connect by the 1st of August to ensure the club has enough time to put together and submit the teams to MDNA. Spring season commences on the 5th of September. As we plan for Spring and into Winter 2027, we are also hoping to bolster and expand our coaching team. If this is something you have been interested in, or would be keen to get some further information on, please complete this EOI: Coaching 2026-2027.
South Upwey Netball Club present some perpetual trophies at presentation night, which are an enduring symbol of achievement and recognition. We welcome Nominations for 2026 Perpetual Awards from all club members, which will be announced at the 2026 Presentation night.
We are looking forward to an excellent end to the winter season, and a celebration of netball at presentation night. 2026 AGM & Presentation Night tickets are also available:purchase presentation night tickets. Tickets need to be secured by the 7th of August. Please be reminded to email southupweynetball@gmail.com upon payment to advise of any dietary requirements alongside the person's name in the email.
