Information for new players

Welcome to South Upwey Netball Club! We pride ourselves on being a fun and friendly club and offer both junior and senior players the opportunity to play great netball whilst also enjoying the benefits of being part of a social netball club and staying healthy.

We have teams at every age level including players from 8 years old in our 11/under team right through to our senior open players aged in their 50's and 60's and all ages in between. We encourage potential players of all ages to join us. It's a fantastic way for children and adults alike to start playing netball and to socialise with like minded individuals!

We participate in the Saturday netball competition at Mountain District Netball Association in Ferntree Gully and also train there on Wednesday evenings between 4.15pm and 7pm.

If you are thinking about joining us, we would love to hear from you. So, please complete the contact form above or contact Sam on 0409050889 after 5.30 pm.

Fee Policy

Dear Parents & Players,

After much deliberation, the South Upwey Netball Club Committee has taken a decision to implement a fee paying policy - No pay / No play. This policy will be strictly enforced..

This decision was not taken lightly and the Committee understands that that decision may be unpopular, however we have estimated that over 70hrs each season is spent chasing unpaid fees and we feel this is unfair on our volunteer Committee members and on those members who do pay their fees on time. This time can be much better spent in other areas of our club. As a not for profit, local sporting group, the club is unable to function without the payment of fees.

This policy means that all players MUST pay their fees in full before training for each season.

We do however understand that sometimes this may present a problem and we will be happy to try and assist if this is your case, but we cannot help if we do not know. So, please don't hesitate to contact the club by email if paying your fees in full by the due date is going to be a problem.

Yours Sincerely,

South Upwey Netball Club.
